Measure once. Ride comfortably. Use this guide to choose a confident starting size for Vortex Ronin leather jackets, motorcycle outerwear and lifestyle pieces.
Before You Choose
These measurements are a general body-size guide. Product cuts can vary, so always check the individual product page for style-specific notes. Measure over a light layer and keep the tape comfortably level—never pulled tight.
Chest / Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline while standing relaxed. Do not hold your breath.
Sleeve
Measure from the shoulder point down the outside of the arm to the wrist, with the elbow slightly bent.
Hip
Measure around the fullest part of the hips, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Men’s Outerwear
Recommended body measurements in inches. For a close motorcycle fit, choose the size matching your chest. For layering or a relaxed lifestyle fit, consider one size up.

Use the fullest bust and hip measurements as your primary reference. If your measurements fall across two sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.

Motorcycle Fit Is Different
Protective motorcycle garments are intentionally cut closer than casual jackets. The fit should feel secure without limiting your reach, shoulder movement or riding posture.
- Allow room for armour or removable liners.
- Test reach with arms forward in a riding position.
- If between sizes, size up when you plan to layer.
